Instructor Gordon Bettess founded Ataru International Taekwon-Do Australia in 1991.

Throughout the clubs 20+ Year history we have been able to support the community, reaching members goals whether it be self-defence, fitness, self-confidence, bully prevention or a competitive drive through the sporting side.

We ensure the best quality of training through our expansive instructing knowledge, having Black Belts who have done multiple seminars from Domestic to International.

All Instructors have a Working With Children’s Check & First Aid Certificates.

Ataru has also had a very successful history within the sporting side of the martial art. Not just having multiple students competing and winning nationally, as well as internationally at World Championships and bringing home a multitude of medals.
